Bernice Vance
Accounting Manager 

As Accounting Manager, Bernice has overseen not only the computerization of the WSLC's financial department, she has also implemented a system enabling the organization to qualify for several grants and contracts, which have expanded the services the council can provide to its affiliates. Bernice provides oversight of the financial services management system, general ledger analysis and interim financial reports.  She works closely with the fiscal departments of various state and federal government agencies to keep the wheels turning on these important programs, and has served more than 10 years as a trustee for Office and Professional Employees International Union Local 8. She joined the WSLC staff in March 1992.

With more than 30 years experience in accounting, Bernice previously worked as an accountant/office manager for Allied Electric in Snohomish, Cascade Savings and Loan in Everett and Ostman Enterprises in Lynnwood. She earned her B.A. at the University of Washington and an A.A. at North Seattle Community College.

Bernice has a son, Jason, who is a Seattle Police Officer. She has two wonderful grandchildren, Kaelyn and Ryan (both 8). She resides in Everett.
