1.  What type of office do you want to hold?   Federal   State   Local
Do you have a specific office in mind either for the near future or farther out?

2.  Why do you want to run?

3.  What experience do you bring? What types of Boards, Commissions, Committees, etc. have you served or lead, if any?

4.  How have you been involved in your community? These may include volunteer efforts.

5.  How have you been involved in politics? Have you helped campaigns? If so, which ones? Do you vote in every election?

6.   What are your strengths and weaknesses?

7.  Are you prepared?

Does your family support your decision to run?
Does your union support your decision to run?
Are you able to take time off of work? How much?
Are you in good physical health?
Are you financially prepared to run?

8.  What do you think it takes to win in your jurisdiction? What do you know about the incumbents/challengers? Is it a swing area?

10.  How have you been involved with your union? The labor movement in general?

11.  Are there any leaders (political, community, etc.) who you see as role models?

12.  What do you think the role of unions is in today's society?
