Original bill creating a prescription drug purchasing pool to
negotiate lower prices. Senate Republican leaders refused to allow a
vote on this bill so a compromise bill that restricted who could
participate in the program was later passed into law. Right vote
was YES. Passed 64-33,
Feb. 7.
- HB 1869 (Rep. McIntire, D-Seattle) --
An amendment by Rep. Skip Priest, R-Federal Way, gutting the
bill requiring regular performance audits of tax breaks. Right
vote was NO. Passed 51-47,
Mar. 18.
- HB 1065 (Rep. Conway, D-Tacoma)--
Creating apprenticeship opportunities at public works projects. Right
vote was YES. Passed
52-45, Mar. 19.
- SB 5404 -- 2003-05 Operating Budget
(as amended in the regular session by the House) with a one-time
raise for public employees, honoring the home-care contract and
mitigating human services cuts. Right vote was YES. Passed
52-46, Apr. 26.
- HB 2267 (Rep. Gombosky, D-Spokane) --
Raising revenue dedicated to schools and the Basic Health Plan by
repealing some tax exemptions, raising the cigarette tax and ending
sales tax exemptions on candy and gum. Right vote was YES. Passed

- HB 2231 (Rep. Murray, D-Seattle) --
Transportation funding package that included a 5-cent gas tax
