FIGHTING FOR WASHINGTON WORKERS

The Voice of Labor in Washington State

Who We
Fight For

Founded in 1957, our Constitution guides our work: “We shall combat resolutely the forces that seek to undermine the democratic institutions of our nation and to enslave the human soul. We commit to sharing the responsibility for racial justice and equity and actively work together to achieve the transformation we aspire in our unions and workplaces and in the community.” Our mission is rooted in workers, families, and communities across Washington.

WORKERS:

We are the largest labor organization in Washington, representing more than 650 local unions and 600,000 union members statewide.

FAMILIES:

We strive to grow opportunity, promote equity, protect our environment, and build independent power for working families across Washington.
